Citizen Teacher Jim Hainis

Sensei Jim Hainis, founder of H.E.A.R.T. — Martial Arts — We're Fighting To Make A Difference, teamed up with New Jersey apprentices in an effort spread the idea of to giving back to others. Jim’s two-day apprenticeship dedicates one day to learning basic karate skills and techniques, while the second day focuses on organizing and carrying out community service projects supporting local organizations such as Soles 4 Souls, the Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club-Newark, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and the Jersey Animal Coalition.
