US2020 Announces Winners of STEM Coalition Challenge

Today the winners of the US2020 STEM Coalition Challenge were announced at Maker Faire Bay Area, in San Mateo, CA.

Eight winners were selected from a pool of nearly 100 communities representing close to 2,000 partners across 35 states looking to bring more STEM mentorship and maker-centered learning opportunities to students across the country in creative and compelling ways.

The winners of the challenge will join the US2020 City Network - a coalition of cities across the US experimenting with new strategies for increased impact, pioneering learning communities to accelerate each other's work, and feeding a national groundswell of momentum around STEM mentoring.

Winners will share in a $1 million in total cash and in-kind value prize made possible with the support of our great partners - Schmidt Futures, Arconic Foundation and Genentech. You can see a list of all the winners on the STEM Challenge Website.
