Meet our 2017-18 Campus Teams!

Citizen Schools welcomed 22 new and 9 returning AmeriCorps Teaching Fellows this year. This year’s Teaching Fellows come from a diverse range of professional experiences (some are artists, some are entrepreneurs) and more than one-third are first generation college graduates. They bring a deep commitment to public service and social justice to the more than 500 students we are serving at our four partner middle schools.

Our Teaching Fellows went through three intense weeks of Citizen Schools Summer Institute and Pre-Service training. It’s an opportunity to build community, understand and live out Citizen Schools mission and values, and immerse the Teaching Fellows in a series of immersive learning experiences so they are ready to teach and prepare our students for success!
